Anybody take a look lately at the Taurus web page and see their new .45LC pump rifle in the new guns section? What a short-action shucker that's going to be. Now if they'd just put a straight butt pad on it, chamber it in .44Mag and cut the barrel back to 16"-18" they'd have the slickest little brush gun around.
I handled one at the S.H.O.T show and they are nice rifles. I asked if they were going to chamber in 32-20, but the representative did not know if that would be a selected caliber. At the suggested retail they are on my list.
I looked at a stainless and it appeared to be well constructed. I have one of their .22 pump rifles and it is very well made and accurate. With respect to the fit and finish I would say it was very good.
I gots to get me one now. Are these based on the the old Colt Lightning? Do they have the funky Taurus safety? How about the receiver? Is it drilled and tapped for mounts? Too many questions, I've got to get my hands on one. I tried to send an email to Taurus but they don't accept email inquiries as far as I can tell.
Yep based on the Colt Lightning rifle all right, they say around Christmas of this year, I will wait for a .44spl or .38/357 I believe. Just don't need to add another caliber to my reloading. Although I will be sorely tempted. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />
