by November 30th? If so, I have a $500 off coupon that you can have. I used a similar coupon when I purchased a new Outback Sport in October. Negotiated the best deal that I could and then put the coupon on the table for an extra $500. The dealership took awhile to figure it out, but it wasn't a problem.

We thought about an Outback, until I sat in one. There wasn't enough room to lift my foot off the accelerator and onto the brake, without my knee hitting the steering wheel. I'm 6'0" and 200lbs. Couldn't adjust the seat or wheel to make it work with me.

We bought a Forester instead. Lots of driver room. Our third Subaru.

This is my fourth one. I need an all wheel drive but don't need anything large (have a Dodge diesel for heavy hauling). The Sub is great for bombing along Forest Roads to the various lakes I fish. It gets 29-31 mpg.

I had to click on this thread just because I couldn't believe a logger would buy a Subaru! shocked

Please tell my you decorate the back window with some hunting stickers. I'd hate to see you take friendly fire while pulling up to a job site. grin

Yes I did. I have no doubt they're handy little rigs for running around the wet timber of the PNW. If I lived there I might own one too------------assuming I could doctor it up enough with NRA and Reagan stickers, and some Hella spotlights on the bumper.

I've got a Subaru. I've taken it on some logging roads and some rough rocky places in Idaho but it's the WRX and really isn't geared or set up for that. I got it because it's fast, sporty, AWD, and can get me up and down from the ski hill in one piece.

I've driven the Outback version a time or two, once from Omaha to Seattle, and it fits me fine. I'm 6'1" and 204 as of yesterday at the gym.

I think Subaru makes a pretty solid car. This is my second one. We had an old GL turbo wagon and drove the wheels off of it with little trouble or broken parts. My daughter bought a new Outback in 05 and my other daugher just got the Impreza sedan this year. When it comes time to buy another car I'll be looking pretty seriously at the STI version of the car. 3300 lb. and 306 hp with a six speed gearbox and a rally suspension has got to be a blast to drive.

I want to get a Forester, but am waiting for the 2010 model year because, according to Motor Trend, it's supposed to be available with a turbo diesel that gets 40+mpg. That would be the ticket; an AWD small SUV that gets great mileage, and is reliable-who could ask for more?

Greenies! Bunny Humpers! Each and every one of you! Must be a bunch of NW libtards!! eek

Everyone assumes you must be a tree-huggin' save the planet liberal if you drive a Subby! I've got one too. I bought mine when gas went up...to $2/gallon! On a bad day I get 17mpg, when its cold and I let it warm up. My F250 gets about 7.5mpg. I've got an Outback, great car, the awd is awesome. Love the car. They're great cars; dependable and reliable.

You will enjoy this video of what you can do with a 500 HP STI

http://video.kenblockracing.com/fla...d=9183&bgcolor=FFFFFF&autoplay=0

On my last Outback Sport I mounted two 4" Piaa spotlights in the front and plan to do the same with the new car. They make it tough to do with the grill configuration and all that plastic, but I'll figure out a way.

I'm 6' 2" and 180 and fit fine in mine. I looked at all of the alternatives and couldn't find a better practical vehicle.

All the Subaru's I see come with Obama bumper stickers, apparently.

I can't believe what I'm reading here, I must have stepped into another dimension. I have never heard anybody, especially owners, say anything good about a subaru.

Wow, what planet have you been living on? I rarely hear anything bad about them with the exception of one Forester with automatic transmission troubles.

My daughter's boyfriend liked hers so much he picked up a used one with 300,000 miles on it just to go back and forth to his second job as a ski instructor. He didn't think it would be all that reliable being so old and having so many miles on it. After a while he started taking it on longer trips to save wear on his truck. Now he has a new Outback to go with his old wagon.

There are tons of them on the road up here and very rarely do you see one sitting next to it waiting for a tow truck like you do other rigs, like Jeeps for one.

Perfectly happy with my Outback at 80k. And yes I do have an elk sticker in the rear window. Have even put a deer on top.

Wifey had a 5 speed 97 sooby milf mobile, great car, great traction.. Couldn't break it off if I wanted too. Had cloth seats, and had to sell it when the kid juice made it smell like a garbage truck in july. Bought a XC, what a tank, great traction, fun car, but like the sooby, $$$ to work on. Has leather seats, though.. She can just hose the kid debris out.

We didn't have any stickers on it.. The boy did put a skull and cross bones on the XC though..
