Here is an absolutely gorgeous and fairly rare Marlin 336 Texan in 30-30 Winchester. It's a 1981 model. The Texans had the desirable straight-grip stock. And this one has the equally desirable and great handling 18-1/2" long barrel. The stocks are high quality straight-grain walnut with a stunning hand-rubbed oil finish. Not one tiny ding or imperfection in the wood of any kind. The original buttplate and white-line spacer are in very good condition, and even has (the original) solid brass screws. The metal work is very good, with only a couple of small areas of very light flecking on the receiver. No rust, of course, and the barrel looks near perfect inside and out. This is one of those rifles you can just tell by looking at it that it hasn't ever been used much. The bolt looks brand new. The original iron sights including the front hood are in place, and this rifle also has a nice 4-screw Weaver-style scope base already on it. The only thing I don't have is the original saddle ring, but those can be had. My asking price is $475.00 and I'll include insured shipping to your FFL. I'll ship to Alaska or Hawaii for the difference in the cost of shipping. And I'll only ship to California to a FFL that accepts long guns from individuals, and without whatever that pre-authorization number is I've run into on a previous deal.
