If Chuck Norris was to actually use a rifle on elk instead of a round house kick what would it be?

Chuck Norris doesn't need a gun.

But in case he did... I believe it would be .223!

Chuck Norris is actually an avid shooter. So I imagine he may be obliged to use something calm and effective like a 30-06

If he was truly avid, he would use something really out there, like a wildcat off of an '06 case necked down for 6.8 SPC bullets.
Maybe 'rabid' is a beter term.

I heard he shoots the "20-20-30 gun" which is best known for it's effective use on "flying bears" or at least that's what my 4 year old told me.
Something clever here.

I wonder how he feels with all that hot brass flying down the front of his pants? I'd imagine that he'd chew up the bullets and simply spit them at the animal but if got bored of that and actually used a rifle it'd be a good old 30-06.

If Chuck walked into the woods, the elk would just drop dead from fear alone.

Without doubt, he'd use the .50 BMG for gophers. When he got serious about anything bigger, he'd just walk over to a US battleship and tear off one of the 30mm guns and use it as a shoulder-fired weapon for deer and elk. I figure it'd be about the equivalent of a .243 on gophers

I would like one of those 6.8 SPC' bullets for a Necked down 30-06, that would be an interesting cartridge, has anybody done that? How did it shoot? Effectiveness on Game? Would that be something like a 270?

Chuck Norris doesn't hunt with a gun, he plays "hide-and-pray-to-God-I-don't-find-you-with-my-bare-hands".
He eats wild buffalo for every meal, but sometimes forgets to kill it first. If it looks like chicken, clucks like a chicken, and tastes like a chicken but Chuck Norris says it's buffalo... It's Buffalo He can pee his name into concrete, & blow bubbles with beef jerky.
