average 16-17ish
i've seen 20 on ocassion with a highway type trip with the 5.4, I expect 17 at the worst when not towing hwy. no worse than 15 with short runs to town etc.
love my fords, I buy em when everybody else figures they are used up, then I put another 50-100k on em & sell em. (and I don't dump any money into them in repairs)

I had a 2001 7.3 ext cab. Loved that truck. Sniff. Sniff. I miss her greatly. But with the twins, I couldnt get 3 car seats in the ext cab with 2 behind rear facing. I wish you could find that truck (traded it in in Perham). That was a great one.

I sold my 2001 F350 crew lariat with 7.3 a while back. it was part of the "all of daves toys must go" sale had to rake together cabin building materials. And no regrets because it was a really good decision, deer camp way way very much important. But I still do miss that truck. I drove one like it tonight. nice. We're looking at an 04 crew half ton tomorrow. 5.4, XLT

Hey everybody, it's weezy's birthday today!! She's 15! How the hell did that happen? just seems like last week she was in diapers with apple sauce & mushed carrots all over her face. She was bald until she was 13 you know.... ok, that's not true... but she did have very thin (almost non existant) hair when she was a baby. She was born in NC when I was still in the service. it was thanksgiving day, the doc showed up drunk on wine. it's a damn good thing the nurses do all the work & the doc just shows up to catch the baby & take all the credit (we know this, we've seen it 3 times, but only one drunk one ) I think she cost us 15 bucks. We got a pretty good deal on her.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEZY! 15 oof! Make sure when those boys come over dave, you let them know what is in that safe in the living room. It might not hurt to be cleaning a gun or two when they show up. Let them know you have a lot to clean and you'll still be cleaning them when he drops her off an hour before her curfew is over. Or you could go the route of my dad...and throw them off the porch... his theroy was you only need to injure one of them, then the word will travel fast.

TZone, I figure I'll be soon enough and Dave should probably try this too, whittling a piece of wood with a supersharp hunting knife with a film of him fielddressing a deer on TV. All the while just saying I'm getting ready and making sure all my tools are ready just incase they need to work on bluejeans or boys.. Or maybe a silohette of a man out back and shooting it in the right area off the deck when dates arrive, making sure they see the target and results..

Yes Happy thanksgiving everyone!!
This has been an outside chores type of day for me. putting things away, cutting deer, cleaning garage, moving cars & trucks, tractors, getting stuff put away for the winter.
We got a new mama mobil yesterday. Well, new to us. a really nice 03 expedition eddie bauer, leather, nicely loaded & very well cared for.
there's a little bit of a story behind the purchase too. but we just got done with our thanksgiving meal, we have a movie about to start & the whole family is waiting for me in the living room so I gotta go.
Happy thanksgiving everyone!!
Dave, Pam & kids

Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family Dave. I'm watching a movie with my two favorite people in the world. Thankful that I get to enjoy it with them.
