Anyone here have any/much experience with suppressed Handi-Rifles in any caliber? Looking to get one soon and want recommendations on preferred calibers.

Don't know about suppressed but I own 4 Handi's. Three 44 mags {grandsons and wifes deer rifles} and a .243 all shoot one ragged hole at 100 yds.

If you go with a supressed rifle, forget about geting one in any caliber that's not sub-sonic. Once you get past that speed, a suppressor doesn't really do much.

Yep, and I think depending on ambient temperature, it's about 1150 fps, IIRC.

Given the $200 transfer tax on top of the cost of a can, I'd go for a threaded can that could be used on other rifles or handguns.

A centerfire rifle shooting supersonic bullets with a good suppressor on it is quieter than a .22 rimfire. But in this case, I would get a .44 magnum and shoot 300gr or heavier bullets. Or a .45/.454 and heavier bullets. All at 1050 or so.
