Any thoughts out there on the Truth 2 bow. I havn't been in the bow market for a while and back in the day Bear was pretty much making junk. I saw the Truth 2 at a Gander Mnt store, and it didn't look half bad. I figured I would drop in hear and get the rest of the story!

Thanks,

Have listened to the hype on one of the Outdoor Channel's shows, but haven't held one in-hand. I'm considering moving up from my 1992 model Browning and fingers to a new bow and release and I'll look at one. Won't make the move before spring though.

The Bear bows of today are no where near what they were a few years ago. They are of MUCH better quality. With my job I can check out a bow for 90 days to use and I chose the Truth 2 and was very impressed.Very smooth draw, nice and quiet, size was good for hunting, but a little small for my 3D tourneys, they come with Winner's Choice strings which are the best in the industry IMO, good speed. The only thing I didnt like was sometimes the string stoppers would not catch the strings, but with a little inginuity they worked fine.I have heard they have changed them a little for '09 but we havent got them in yet so I cant tell you for certain.

Overall, they are great bows and well worth their price, which by the way is much less then other "top-end" bows.Bear is back up to the top where they once were for years with their new line of bows.
