I'm begining to lose count.

Well here's another, During his campaign, "W" stated, [qualified quotes, possibly not verbatem, but pretty damn close] "I do not believe in nation building" "It is wrong, and will not take place during my presidency"

Now some might say he lied/renigged on this campaign promise in Iraq, but even if you give "W" a pass on Iraq, and for arguements sake accept the whole War/WMD scenario; certainly Haiti is purely nation building, and therefore, he has lied yet again.

Someone's son or someone's father is never going to leave Haiti. And for what? Haiti is nothing to us. No threat to security, and has NOTHING to offer. Further more, they don't want us there. Why are we there Mr. Bush?

One more question Mr. Bush.... Could you please stop sucking El Presidente' Foxx's cahone's and find your own?

Forget the name of the pretty boy who worked for Slick Willie, who is now an announcer for one of the major news networks. Stephanopolis (sp?) No bias there, no sir. Anyway, during Willies second election campaign, a news announcer listed a bunch of promises they had made in the first campaign that had never been kept. Stephanopolis looked him straight in the eye and said, we kept all the promises we intended to! Kinda like when they asked the President of NOW, how she could support him for re-election, after all the problems he had had with women. Her answer was "Your talking ethics - I am talking politics"

No offense meant but it seems that anyone who really expects a politician to "keep" their promises, probably also believes in Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy too. I also strongly suspect, they are willing to overlook those promises not kept by the party of their favor. Of course that is just my belief and I could be wrong. TM

Why should any idealistic, young, salt of the earth, Marine, have to die in Haiti? Some of you detractors of Ram need to explain that one.

And now we hear they are going to disarm the rebels? Why? Do we have that right? They tossed off a dictator and now we want to take their guns? Why do American's have to die down there?

Pretty good take if you ask me TM. Politicians are whores of the worst kind. In fact that may be a form of slander on whores!!!!

I agree with you wholeheartedly in the respect that ALL politicians are whores. When it comes to voting in an election I think that my Political Sience teacher came up with the perfect comparison ,it goes like this "Voting for a politician is like walking into a sex shop --when you walk out you hope that you have picked out the [bleep] that is going to hurt the least".

I have. Certainly nothing to brag on, but many innocent citizens there need some quality of life.
Best to narrow the choices now then later.
There were and are American citizens there when this went down.
If you can't stand the heat stay out ofthe kitchen.
The Marines are a voluntary force and they all knew that going in.
You can't be in the military only if it suits your ideas and not American ideals.

Hell no we shouldn't be in Haiti. Sure they got a ruthless dictator since way back. But they ain't got a drop of oil, no WMDs (even imaginary ones), and they're all black for christsakes. Oops, I know we really went into Iraq on humanitarian grounds. Arabs are brown, so much...well, closer to white. Funny how when the WMDs didn't show up, we were all the sudden more concerned with Sadam's cruelty to his own people, and installing democracy for people who couldn't care less about it. But when Liberia or Haiti suffer the same afflictions, and really want democracy to boot, we only move grudingly and not to the extent to really affect anything towards the same ends.

It wouldn't matter if Jesus Christ himself were in office, some of you guys would complain! George W. probably has more nuts that some that are whining and do you think the folks that join the military aren't aware of the hazards when they sign up? Maybe you think "Oh, I think I'll join the military so I can just play in war games and get sent all over the world to have a great time" ! Some just need to get a life and quit sounding like a god damn hippie protestor from the 60's.
