I need to get a new press as my 30 year old RCBS press does not have enough throat to load my 416 Rigby. I can only get about 2 threads into the press with my Forrester dies.

The Redding Big Boss II has a 4 1/2" frame opening.

The Redding Ultramag is even better than the Big Boss II for reloading the larger cases. I have both and use the Ultramag for larger cases like the 505 Gibbs, 416 Rigby, 338 Lapua etc.. It has the clearance and the extra power to make reloading the Boomers easier............................DJ

I would recommend an RCBS RC Supreme, I was in the same boat a few years ago when loading the Ultra Mags, not to mention the big Weatherbys. I found the RC Supreme to be a very good press, I don't like the priming arm, but I bought an RCBS hand priming tool when it came out. The Ultras and .30 & .338/378 heads are too big for the Lee hand priming tool. A very Merry Christmas to all!

djpaintless is right on...get the Redding Ultramag...I have used one for several years and it is the very best for big jobs...much better than my Bonanza or RCBS

Ok I am looking at the Redding Big Boss II and the Ultramag. The Ultramag is double the cost, so is it double the press? From contacting Redding I understand that the Redding presses use RCBS shell holders, is this a true statement.

If cost is an issue (these days when ISN'T it?), go back and look at the Lee Classic Cast again. It's the absolute most press for the money, and just might be one of the best presses at any price. The one thing I can't be positive about is the window opening size, but you should be able to find a spec sheet for it online and compare that to the opening size of the Redding presses.
