I have a friend who just gave me this sight. It does not have windage adjustment. It does have a lever on the left side which locks it in place or allows it to lay flat. The staff which has the peep on top is about 5/8" inches long...the threaded portion. It needs to drop considerably to be on at 100 yards (mounted on my 1899B) but will only go about 1/2 way down and then stops. How do I get it down further? Do I have to cut the staff in half? Dave
No brass rod coming out of the bottom. I wondered if something was stock down in the channel keeping the staff from going all the way down. I will have to go back and look. If I remember the staff was hollow.
look inside for something keeping it from going down, look for buggered threads on the stem, measure the stem and post the length here, somebody will be able to tell you if its not correct for the sight.

Total length of staff with peep is 1.038". Just the staff itself is .811". The threaded portion that sticks out on the one side is .523" long. It does look like there is something inside the shaft where the staff fits but I have no experience with these sights. How do you disassemble it? Dave
