Maybe you all can help me with a pretty high class problem I'm having.
Last night, at the local RMEF banquet, I won a Mathews MQ32. It has a draw lenght of 30", but my draw length is only 26".
I'm trying to decide whether I should just sell the Mathews (I have a Martin Tracer that I bought last year that I am satisfied with), or keep it, change the draw length, and trip the Martin.
Thoughts?
I'm pretty sure, based on info on the Mathews site, that the draw length is pretty easily shortened. What I don't know is how much it would cost for the new cam. Any Mathews experts out there?
Thanks in advance for your input.

Bows have as much resale value as a half eaten candy bar. However, it is a Mathews and they are in high demand. Personally, if I could drive the MQ I'd do it in a heartbeat. My draw length (32") limits me to a handful of bows. I'd set up the mathews how you like it and keep the martin as a back up. I never thought I'd need a backup until my string broke at the nocking point and splintered both limbs the third day of the season. By the time I got warranty replacements, the season was in the last weekend. If it did'nt cost you anything you're already ahead.

JMO, I'd work with the Matthews. Get it set up and shoot it, then decide. If it works for you and you don't want a back-up. Sell the Martin. It should finance the cost of setting up the Matthews and then some.

Kilmer, the local shop tells me it will cost about $85 tax included. Simple to do, just make sure to tell them if it is 70 or 80% let off and have them order so it is there when you arrive. Recommend doing it and "feel the difference". Good Luck

Thanks for your input. That's probably what I'll do. I'm too intrigued by all the Mathews hype to not test drive this little bow.
I'd heard the cams were pretty spendy, but $85 is doable. I've located a 27" cam online for $50, but that extra inch isn't going to work for me.
Money is kind of tight right now, with all of the tag draws, taxidermy bills, and a spring bear hunt fast approaching. I was looking at the new bow as a way to offset some of the cost of this stuff, but they (MQ32) are only going for $400 or so new on Ebay. For that, I'll likely just keep it.
Thanks guys.

That Mathews has a pretty good resale, sell it while it's new.My opinion only. If we all liked the same thing it would be a mighty dull world. Love to bear hunt. Where do you go. Kenny <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
