Bought my teen a Hammerli Razor in .22 cal (820fps) for Christmas. So far, Very Impressed! Build quality (Spain) seems great. He took it out and shot about 40 bullets at a target to get adjusted and then started tattooing small Finches, actually blowing them up...one from at least 40yds! This gun hits hard! He was shooting some old school Benjamin round top pellets through this "break in" period. Got some JSB Predators and Beeman CroMagnums for later. Ended up getting the gun for $209 online before Christmas. Seems like what we were looking for. He wanted open sites, and it has a highly visible fiber optic site that reflects nicely outdoors. It does kick and is about 35# to break barrel, but hasn't slowed down my son a bit.

Nice. Not familiar with the rifle but sounds like a fun one. A magnum .22 does make a lot more feathers fly than the lesser calibers and that is worth something.
