For the .17 Rem Fireball, Quickload gives Pmax (MAP) as 58,740 psi, whereas the chuckhawks site indicates that the SAAMI maximum average pressure (MAP) is 55,000 psi. Anyone know, for sure, which is right ? http://www.chuckhawks.com/17Fireball.htm

The data in QL is from the beginning of 17 Rem FB in 2007 when it was a commercial wildcat. The 55000 psi is now the SAAMI maximum (=380 MPa). The standard setting is not long ago and there is no CIP approvement yet. I will change it as soon as CIP has accepted the new standard. Also dimensions will be updated then.
