I have had the good luck to fall into a few rimfires at real good prices latley that I could not say no too. Here is a kinda rough Winny 61 I picked up the other day. I think someone used it as intended, as a take down, and carried it in there pack. It has a bunch of light scraches on the barrel from ratteling around I think. But its a cool old gun that is not D&T or messed up in any way and after a god cleaning works like a charm. Im pretty sure its never been cleaned, you would not beleve the gunk that was in the action. Seems a guy can get a deal if there REAL dirty, guys think there busted!!

I think you need to take me along to the gunshop you are visiting! HA! Heck I hit em all!!! Most of the local shops know me by name and when they get a cool 22 in I tell them to call but they rarley do. I have been coming across a bunch of old 22 Winchesters as of late but most want WAY to much for them. On this deal they thought the gun had a bent part on it cuz it would not cycle smooth, the wholt time I new it was just super dirty, I was right

pp, Another nice pumper...... Grooved reciever? Nope. I wish it was, but these guns are almost to sleek to scope. Its an older one MFG in 1948 and it does not have the holes for a peep either, that is how I prefer to run them. As is should be fun on running bunnies.

From your pictures it looks "mint"! If it was you would be looking at a 2200.00 rifle. Just to give you and idea of what high condition WINCHESTER'S are prices being asked. Dan & Jan Grove WINCHESTERS

A very fine example of a 61. The Winchester 61s just thrill me for some reason. The REM. 12 and 121 are nice and much less expensive than a Win. 61.

I have been looking for a 121 for what seems like for ever and cannot find a decent one at a good price, lots of them out there that have been D&T. Heck I find more Winchesters at WAY better prices that the Remingtons. This 61 was had for 200 bucks, but they thought it was broken for some reason when it was just really ditry as hell. So if anyone comes across a 121 at a fair price please let me know. PP

Maybe good that it isn't - have you seen what the Lyman tang sights for these have been getting on eBay? Of the 2 I saw sell recently one was in the high $300's and the other brought $400 + $5.50 shipping. With my budget I could have just a gun or just a peep sight. Gene
