...I've got a Marlin 39 Carbine. A cute little gun I got years ago but have never shot. I've kept it in my safe with the intention of outfitting it with a scope and using it for squirrel hunting if it proved accurate enough. I've got many 22RF guns and several that are outstandingly accurate, a couple Kimbers are what I most often take to the squirrel wood, so I'm thinking of selling the Marlin. The gun is in excellent condition, not a sign of rust anywhere, bluing near perfect, silvered only on the crisp edge of the muzzle, just barely. The stock (straight grip) shows a few small blemishes, but is easily 95% with no scars into the depth of the wood, just finish blems. I know this "CARBINE" version, (so marked on it's 19&5/8" barrel)is an uncommon find but don't know what evaluation it would command. Input from some knowledgable Marlin fans would help...Ian

..Thanks guys. I'm not looking to sell it, but appreciate a better idea of it's current value.

I think that is smart. It's not like they make them anymore. It don't eat unless you shoot it, so it cost nothing to keep.
