Im looking at the Kifaru slick bag for lightening my load for archery hunting. Im wondering about the 40 degree bag. At 22 oz. it seems pretty sweet, but I don't have any first hand info on it. Any one use one?

Hopefully Docb will chime in. I know he used a Kifaru Slick bag in Alaska this fall. Would love to hear from other that have used the bags as well, the 0 degree bag is definitely on my short list!

I have the 0 degree slick bag. Well made and very nice. Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to use it in anything cooler than about 30 degrees. Don't know if it helps much, but I was plenty warm.

I did use the slick bag in Alaska this October. We got some cold weather, probably down into the teens one night. I stayed plenty warm in the zero degree bag, and it's compressibility compared to say a Wiggies bag is amazing. It seems that it's the best of both worlds....a syn bag as light and compressible as down. The only thing, I just like the loft of down. I can't put my finger on it, but my WM Grizzly is just plain comfy.....like a feather bed! Don

The only thing, I just like the loft of down. Ditto here! While not a comment on the Kifaru bag, as I've not even seen one, but I way prefer the feel of my BA down bag over my Cat's Meow syn bag.

Really trying to get convinced to try one of these....
I have a MH Phanton 32 right now and I'm looking hard to try and find something that will keep me warm for sheep hunts in Aug/Sep when temps can get down around -5 or -10 Celcius at night in the hills.
I have a Hilleberg Akto although I worry about buying a nice WM down bag and whether or not it would get 'damp' from a week of sheep hunting. Wondering if synthetic is the better option or if the WM bags will handle the bit of moisture in a tent.....
Any suggestions or comments? The Slick bag looks pretty cool for sure....
