A friend of mine has this surplus powders (WC735).I can't find any data for it. This is a ball powder manufactured out of a plant in Florida. Where can I find data for that powder.I would like to load for .223

Thanks

I believe it is about 5% faster than H335. I believe if it were me, I would start with starter H322 data and go slow.

I have used it a lot as a fireforming powder in 223AI, gotta love it at $14 Canuck bucks a pound.

These are fireforming loads with the Hornady 55 grain SP, so in other words they are standard 223 loads. WW brass and F205M primers.

24.0 grains = 3135fps
24.5 grains = 3200 fps
25.0 grains = 3260 fps
25.5 grains = 3300 fps
26.0 grains = 3360 fps

Typical top end loads with 55 grainers in the standard 223 is 3250 fps, so I used the 25.0 grain load seated to 2.313 (to touch leade)

It's a good powder. Dirty but you can scrub that.

Leon gave good advice, think 5% faster then H335, or real close to H322.

Hope this helps.

P.S. Here's more data for WC735 and the 223, but it's not mine.

Bullet: 50 gr. Hdy V-Max C.O.L. 2.250" 25.2gr. 3408fps @ 53,000PSI
Bullet: 55 gr. Hdy V-Max C.O.L. 2.250" 24.0gr. 3212fps @ 49,500PSI
" " " 24.3gr. 3253fps @ 51,700PSI
" " " 24.9gr. 3302fps @ 53,200PSI
Bullet: 62gr. SPR FMJBT C.O.L. 2.250" 23.3gr. 3062fps @ 53,800PSI

Anybody who seriously concerns themselves with the adequacy of a Big 7mm for anything we hunt here short of brown bear, is a dufus. They are mostly making shidt up. Crunch! Nite-nite!
