I have a remington 721 that is over 50 yrs old, overall the rifle is in nice shape. There are a couple spots where bluing is wore can I touch this up with cold blue and have it match reasonably well? What cold blue would be the best?

This is the one I've had the best results with:

The above described cold blue is the ONLY cold blue that I have ever used that is worth bringing home, even if it was free.
The stuff does work, and works well.

G96 Gun blue paste works very well aslo.

AMEN to Oxpho. I've been doing a test since the 1970, looking to find a better touch up than Oxpho. None has come close, except T-4 touch up and the Oxpho still beats it hands down.
