Im watching the history channel tonight. There is a show on Modern Marvels about underwear. They say that the average bra size in 1991 was a 34 C....whereas today, the average bra size is a 36 D.... There were many hypothesis about why the change has occured in the female anatomy.
Most were related to the fact that we, as a race, are becoming larger. Maidenform sent a bra maker to speak on thier behalf who said that manufactures are making bras smaller to compel to women who want a larger bust...causing them to require a larger size.


I CALL BS on both theories.....
The trend of plastic surgery for breast enlargement is common place. Girls ask for breast surgery as young as 15 or 16. I say the ease and availability of plastic surgery is the cause....

Bra's are evil!

I do know for a fact that in my wife and daughters cases breast feeding the babies did cause enlargement that stayed with them.

I also agree that man made intervention is probably a leading cause of bigger breasts in today's world..

Hormones in dairy cattle to enhance production being transferred to humans through ingestion of milk. Just a thought.

As to the trend - I don't think it has to do with surgery, maybe amongst a "segment" of the population but I don't know that it would be large enough to skew the average.

Toilet paper - expanded the rear of several women I know (appears so anyway). Perhaps it is some side effect from stuffing the bra at a young age?

Im all for burning bras like they did int he 70s ..;.however...if you are the only chick doing it..it just makes you...well...weird. The only chicks I know that dont wear bras dont shave thier legs or arm pits either. I gotta pass on that myself.....I like my legs shaven so the bohemian hippie thing wont work for me.

Thats not true. It may be true for pole dancers...but not woman as a whole.

When you dont have enough to eat you get thinner and have smaller breasts. When you have way to much food and gourge yourself your breasts get larger. Women and everyone else in the use have as much food as they can possibly eat and the number of obese is greatly increased. That is why breasts are larger.

The IQ thing is not the woman's, but the man's. I think the amount of fat, and lack of exercise is the cause.

Anything over a handful is too much. Personally, I like nice legs.

That is SO true. I had a breast reduction before I had any kids. Had a couple of kids....so there was a total of about 3-4 years of breast feeding.....now.....I need surgery again....or either Im a very lucky woman...Im not sure which.
