Shoot me a PM if you decide to move your .264. I am still helplessly in lust for one.

I have a Ruger 77 UL 20 inch barrel 257 Roberts and a Winchester 70 26 inch barrel 264 Win Mag. When hunting in the hill country I like the little 257 but for the wide open areas I take the 264. At any range the 264 has more energy and has less bullet drop when loaded with mule deer hunting bullets.

If you are going long the .264 Win Mag gets my vote.

Coyote Hunter - NRA Patriot Life, NRA Whittington Center Life, GOA, DAD - and I VOTE!

No, I'm not a Ruger bigot - just an unabashed fan of their revolvers, M77's and #1's.

A good .30-06 is a 99% solution.
