tuck2 Campfire Member T Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 123	I have a Ruger 77 UL 20 inch barrel 257 Roberts and a Winchester 70 26 inch barrel 264 Win Mag. When hunting in the hill country I like the little 257 but for the wide open areas I take the 264. At any range the 264 has more energy and has less bullet drop when loaded with mule deer hunting bullets.

A good .30-06 is a 99% solution.
