Good to see the Republicans are standing up to the socialist package. Several really gave the libs hell today debating the damn thing. Too bad we are so outnumbered. By the way Glenn Beck warns of potential depression and possible revolution!!!!!!! Check it out on O'Riley's show.

This was in the New York Times online mag an hour ago.... when that liberal rag posts this? My wallet just pulled an emo and cut itself I dont think the republicans did ENOUGH, they whined a bit, but I have yet to see someone throw a shoe at that pos pelosi If nothing else, the plan is a striking return of big government. It also symbolizes continuing partisanship, despite Mr. Obamas promise of new cooperation. No House Republican voted for the measure, and the three in the Senate who did are viewed as renegades by their partys leadership.
Whatever the result, future generations will get the bill.
This is so much money that if someone had begun spending $1 million a day $1 million every day when Christ was born, said Senator David Vitter, Republican of Louisiana, we would not yet be in 2009 to the full cost of this bill.

Wouldn't it be great to see a size 13 square the bitch in the chops. Especially if it had a little dog crap or bubble gum on it. Getting a little tired and impatient with these clowns in D.C. Would love to show them the door!!!!!!1

I wouldn't go and pat them on the back. I've heard several of them not against the package on principle but rather they want the money spent on other stuff. In fact the new goober in charge of the RNC was on TV saying "It's a given we HAVE to do something and spend some money...".

So, it's backbone when they don't vote for it/whore themselves out for Obama...but [bleep]...when it was Bush it was a great idea?
What Kool-Aid is it you prefer? Blue, Red, or a mix of the two?
I don't agree with this legislation, and I did not agree with the last.

Heard somebody (don't remember who ) discribe the money in this package as thus: if you equate one dollar to a second it would take us over 32,ooo years to get to the money in this bill. Can you just imagine that!!!!!! Cheers NC

Just like the last one.
It was not too many years ago that this would have constituted the entire annual budget for the entire federal government.
Now it's a shopping spree spent at the stores of various political supporters.
Bush paid off the crooked bastards that supported him, while ignoring what caused the problem. No balls to force the issue, let alone appoint any blame to those who let it happen under their watch. He did such a good job of it, the Dems got pissed off and decided to one up him. They grabbed the playbook, added their own special slime recipe, like only they can, and ran it right up the middle.
In the end it's all the same. Doesn't really matter who's got you by the hips, you are still getting bent over.

One million seconds is 11 days, one billion seconds is 32 years, one trillion seconds is 32,000 years. Exponential increases are like that, but not well understood by most, especially the political class. They are only focused on the next two years.

The Head of the GOP is anti-gun. How can anyone see any good coming from either party right now. Leadership and desperate acts to try and save face with your constituents are two different things.

Good to see the Republicans are standing up to the socialist package. Several really gave the libs hell today debating the damn thing. Too bad we are so outnumbered. When the bill was in the Senate, the Republicans were NOT outnumbered at all! They had the votes to stop the bill in it's tracks and force the Dimocrats to make the changes they felt were necessary.....like a big reduction in the corporate tax rate for example. The three traitors all said that this was the best they could do and it was just the "legislative process" working. That was complete bullschitt, because if they wanted to follow the "legislative process" they should have voted against the bill and kept doing so until it was amended to their satisfaction. They are liars, cheats and scoundrels, but again, this is what their constituents stupid, uninformed, numb-scull voters want. Did you see anyone ask the Senate Republican leadership how the Dems were able to keep 100% of their team onboard, but they couldn't? Nah....can't do that........don't want the people to know too much do we?

A pair? maybe "bb" sized. Nineteen repubicans voted to confirm Holder, who holds (pardon the pun) the notion that gun ownership is a collective and not an individual right. They had enough in the Senate to stall the bill but I guess the leadership wasn't strong enough to influence the two broads from Maine and that idiot from PA. They held together in the House and that's a start, but too little too late for me. And now Michael Steele as the RNC Chair? No thanks. I'm done with them. jorge
A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”
