According to Rule, 581,470 on Oct. 18, 1962; however appears to be typo and should be 1963.

I'm no expert but I have never seen a pre 64 receiver with a number in the 600,000's; all have been under that number.But I could be wrong...

My 1963 .300 Win Mag is 575,206, saw another that was 554, 529 - maybe a 1962?
