Hey guys. I just found this through another site. I have never heard of them. Their tents look pretty good and are pretty light too.
Anyway, just thought I'd pass the info along.

I use there Gatewood Cape for rain protection. It easily covers me and my pack fully loaded. I also use it as a tent on those short 1/2 day bivy hunts. Seal-er up and go!! I think it weighs 11oz and packs smaller than a beer can!! Speaking of beer, I wish I could find a way to pack in some ulta light beer!!! Man that would be good in the evenings!! Smile

Oh no! Another manufacturer to consider.

I carry a tarp as an emergency bivvy shelter. That poncho/tent looks like it might do the job better.

I would like to take a close look at the suspension system of the packs. I wonder of they are any good?

this company has a dedicated following among the lightweight and long distance backpacking community. check out their homemade seam sealer from silicon and mineral spirits. I have used it on several tents and it works great.

Ron Moak of Six Moons has some very good designs.

I had one of his Europa 2 tents for a couple years and was very satisfied with it.

I have made my own from mineral spirits and silicone. It does work very well.

Like previously mentioned tarp tents are pretty popular with the light weight backpacking community. I used the Lunar Solo last year on a CO bowhunt. Its really light weight and pretty roomy for a one person tent. If your arent concerned about your gear touching the sides there is plenty of room for you and your gear (if your backpacking). I thought it was quit a bit roomier than the Tarp Tent Contrail my brother had. But as with any single wall tent I did find it pretty sensitive to proper ventilation. It can collect quite a bit of condensation if not properly vented. That being said I think this year Ill be trying out a BA Copper Spur 2 and leaving the Lunar Solo at home.
