M Been back and forth, but mostly nice the last week or so. We got suckered out yesterday by the sun, only to fight wind chop most the day. The goal was more whale watching, as they seem to be gathering for the upcoming herring run. Looks like glacier country, based on the water color (and those could be ice chunks in the background.)

The cruise started in Vancouver, BC and ended in Whittier, AK. The Mendenhall Glacier is near Juneau, AK. There are lot of ice chunks around there! ![[Linked Image]](http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/6195/dsc01379sx6.jpg)

Nice brown phase blackie. Did you have to clean up his poop? I've heard of the Mendenhall... didn't know cruise ships made it that far up river.
