Well almost, still some shooting to be done, but from the looks of things (160 partitions) it won't be picky. First group after tuning in scope went a tad under an inch c to c. Thanks again to Redneck for putting together yet another great rig: the bio reads: pre 64 model 70 30'06 action pac-nor lwt barrel @ 24" I used aluma-hyde II flat black on barreled action Bordern rimrock blem stock painted aluma-hyde coyote brown leupy VXII 3x9x40 LRD, in talley LWT's as is, it goes 7 lbs 12 oz.

Nice rifle Randy! You need to get up here to put it to work. Let me know how the Aluma-Hyde holds up. Vern

It doesn't get any better than that! Nice rifle.
Anybody who seriously concerns themselves with the adequacy of a Big 7mm for anything we hunt here short of brown bear, is a dufus. They are mostly making shidt up. Crunch! Nite-nite!

That turned out rather nice, eh?? By the looks of that target, your bedroom door now has three holes in it.. BTW, your other package arrived back here.. It'll go back out to you on Monday morning.. Since you got the rifle so fast, you should have the stuff by Tuesday..

Vern good eyes, deer tracks they are, I am about ready to start shooting the tree eaters! Also Vern if I can get you to adopt me (next of kin thing)then I can afford another AK. hunt! Bob, yes this rig should be going out west, elk, mule deer or both I hope! Thanks for the kind words folks, I'm looking forward to getting to know this new set-up.

Great Rifle! Try the 140 Accubonds with that 280 Ack. My Friend built one a 98 Mauser with a Pac-Nor barrel and is getting alomst 3200 feet out of it using the Nosler Load listed in the book. His gun shoots them under a half inch group.
No matter how good a rifle looks if it shoots over 1 inch groups its ugly.
