I made a post about RBCD ammo in the handgun section and, as a result, since I hadn't been to their site in a while, perused their new products section. I also don't know what the 50 BMG rounds cost, but I'm sure they aren't cheap.
I claim no personal knowledge about these rounds, but I can say that it is a FAST, High Energy round based on manufacturer's claims. Wow!!!
50 BMG 500 gr. TFSP 3870 fps / 17796 flbs 50 BMG 200 gr. SMBTSP 5900 fps / 19329 flbs

ps IFRC all that and no belt! I wonder why it is then that we are still using ammo with belts? I know that when the say 300wm came about the rifle it was put into was different thean what was being built for the 50bmg- but now a days you can get a 50 that is pretty similar to your average remchester. Is is possible to get 300 wm brass sans belt? It seems to be accepted that the belt is not neeted for strength - look at the new shortie - no belt.
I know most people just resize off the shoulder but if I didnt have the belt it would be kind of nice.
Am I asking for too much? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I hope the rounds are accurate. If so, the SPECOP's people will love them. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Kirt
