I'm not much of a lever action guy, but I'd like to own and hunt Elk here with a 454. Does anyone build a lever so chambered? I really like the Marlin levers. Thanks in advance

Rossi / Puma makes their model 92 in .454 Casull. I have one and like it a great deal. A coupe of years ago a gunwriter tried to wear one out by shooting lots of full power 454 ammo through it and some several thousands of rounds later the gun was still like new. The little Rossi is smaller and lighter and handier than the Marlin rifles and carbines. I would suppose that a Marlin in 45 Colt could be converted to 454 Casull, but I am not sure the refle was designed to run with that much pressure and recoil. The stupid on the Rossi, located on the top of the bolt, is easily removed and the hole can then be plugged. A good upgrade to do in my opinion, just like I turn My Marlin and Winny Frame safety pins into saddle ring studs smile
