Greetings ladies and gentlemen. I just signed up today after being directed here by one of your long time users. I am coming over from Hunt America where I have enjoyed posting and having spirited discussions for several years.

I'm an old man that has been hunting white-tailed deer in south Texas and Mexico for a very long time. I bowhunt and firearm hunt and love both, but most of all I enjoy taking pictures of deer. I have a personal website with a link in my signature that has many many hundreds of pictures, mostly of live deer. I hope you visit and enjoy seeing the part of this great nation that I hunt in and the sort of animals that we see daily.

I look forward to becoming familiar with your posts and reading and commenting as I see things that interest me.

Welcome to the Fire, and it's good to see that you have a pic of a smart deer on your avatar and not a carp deer... grin

Hey, I do believe this is the first time ever that I've had you beat on total number of posts! I have a feeling it won't last long though. Pretty nice place they got here. I might just stay a while. Of course I'll pull my own weight and all.

Welcome guys.

Thanks for the welcome. I hunt private property and have enjoyed the family type atmosphere over at HA as well. Perhaps it's time to broaden my horizons. I hunt primarily for meat these days. I'm not as old as Venadotex but I'm old enough to be mostly over "Horn Fever". I still get a case of "Buck Fever" from time to time and if I didn't I would probably stop hunting. I'll put a couple of deer in the freezer each year and my three grown sons help keep it full to. I enjoy cooking and of course, eating and making sausage and jerky with my oldest son (who lives right behind me).

My greatest joy in life right now is coming home each afternoon with the prospect of seeing my only granddaughter. My wife and I race each other to the day care to have the joy of picking her up. I can't get enough of her! You guys with grandkids know what I'm talking about.

I have 1756 Express tunnel with a 50 HP Yamaha. She takes me out and brings me back. I like duck hunting and so does "Boone", my 6 yr old LabXGolden.

I have said before that I am the richest man on earth. I have my health, a wife who has put up with me for going on 32 years, a marvelous grandaughter and daughter-in-law, and three sons that any man would be proud to call friend let alone Son. They are hunters and fishermen and Gentlemen all.

I feel kinda bad hoggin Venadotex's threadbut he won't mind. He knows I talk too much.
