Looked like a great hunt. It reads great along with your caribou and moose hunt.

Very nice writeup!!! Congrats on a pretty rifle and a dandy buck! I'm really thinking of getting a No.1 for chasing pronghorns...though I may go with a bit different chambering.

PS- IME, the shot distances on pronghorn only have to be long if you want them to me. I shot 3 in WY last year and the TOTAL distance was less than 325yds...

Well, sir, a year later and you're still getting kudos for getting right to the meat of why us gun nuts do these things, plus a great hunting tale. And the sad fact is that I read your post just today after my own winter doldrums No. 1 9.3x74R 'gotta have it' moment (although without your great Wymoming hunt). Weirdly (or not) I bought it with a 'buy it now' off of GunBroker from a gunshop in Illinois (tell me it's not Kenny West from Chuck's GunShop!), picked it up last weekend, and shot it for the first time today. Very sweet!
