Would be curious to hear thoughts, though apparently a new 1D is going to be unveiled soon.

I have a 5D MkII but I haven't much time to get out with it. So far I am impressed with it in low light condtions and the high ISO. So far it seems like a great camera. IF they do unveil a new 1D you can bet it will be alot higher in price than the 5D MkII.

I'm gunning a 1Ds,40D and XTi now(in no particular order) and haven't had chance to lay hands on the Mk II yet, though have been trying hard to do so.

Am thinking the newest 1D will come down in price as compared to prior offerings in the lineage,as most of the technology has already been paid for.

The Mk II has really caused older bodies to drop in price.

I am shooting with the 40D and the 5DMkII...thought about going with the 1D3 but the 5DMkII just fit my shooting preferences better.

It rates thumbing through the Manual,as it can be rather spectacular.

Vincent's stuff floored me from inception, prior to mainstream release of the body.
