I had pac nor barrel my Rem.700 Action in 7stw. Its a 3 groove 1-10 twist super match barrel 26inch long, fluted. IT shot a 5/32 inch, 3 shot group at 100 yds. Using Combined Tech. 150gr. bullets and Rl19 with WLRM primers. I conagraphed the load at 3045fps. I think its a keeper.

Use RL25 with 150's, am getting 3335 with a 24"tube.
You won't get close to that with RL22 or 7828 and a 150. Those powders work well with 140's...

Depends on the rifle dude.
Proverbs - A wise man feareth, and departs from evil: but the fool rages, in confidence. - It is honor for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will meddle. - Mischief is as sport to a fool: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.

3425 in a 28" Lilja. Not a warm weather load.

Nice grouping, but that 150 is just idling. I think you can get a 175 going at that speed. Why buy a STW if you're happy with 7RM velocities?
My friend is like that. He has had a 300Roy in a Sendero for years. He has a friend load for him (not me, or I would be putting the throttle down). He's happy with 30-06 velocities.
Hey, he's happy with it, but don't tell me that you shoot a 300Roy, when you've got it throttled back to 30-06 velocities. Just my pet peeve.

+1 on the 7828. My rechambered Savage Tactical in 7 STW shoots tiny little groups with 78 gr of 7828 and the 140 gr BT. Best one is 3 shots into 0.14" at 100 yds. Don't know if I will ever beat that one.

I've had best luck w/ H1000, Retumbo, and 7828....in that order w/ 140's. A 150 should like the slow stuff even more.
Nice groups so far,
Brett

You won't get close to that with RL22 or 7828 and a 150. Those powders work well with 140's... My 26" barreled 7mmstws produce right around 3400fps with 150gr bullets and imr7828.
