I tried it in my 300wsm, did not work very well with 168 and 200 gr Barnes bullets. I got very little increase in velocity and accuracy was not very good, my 284 loves it, picked up 60 fps and shoots under one inch groups.

I just worked up a nice load in my 300WSM with a 165 Accubond over 66gr of RL17, shoots under 1/2 inch and clocks at around 3075 to 3100.
I want to try it in my 7x57 next, anyone got any intel on that?

Be careful and work up to Alliant's maximum for the .300 WSM/150 grainer. I couldn't get there with 2/3 of the rifles that I load for....YMMV

I too have had excellent results in 284 win with RL-17. I have some 7wsm loads with that powder ready to go - just haven't had a chance to go shoot them yet.

I had decent intial loads with re 17 and 180 grn hornady sp pts. 65 grains gave me as a mv in the 3020 range. Well i loaded up three at 65.5 and 3 at 66 which got me to 3050 and then a shot at 3090 (sticky bolt). I've backe it off and will probably fine tun at 64 or even 63.5. I think 2950-3000 will be more apropriate in the browning xbolt.

I tried some in a 270WSM today with 150gr bullets. It got pretty windy so will try again tomorrow and if I find something then I'll chronograph.
