I know 3 guys who married foreign women, 2 Russians and 1 Dominican, and it has been nothing but a PITA for them.
1 of the Russian women claimed to be 25, turned out she was 19, but she sure looked 25, and had a child still in Russia. An instant family that he wasn't planning on when he met and then married this woman, plus the has probably spent at least $10K trying to get the child to the US, so far unsuccessfully.
The other Russian woman was diagnosed with some sort of mental illness after they had a child. She divorced the guy and now collects SS disability as her mental illness keeps her from being able to get and hold a job. He is paying for all of the daughter's needs, but the Mother has joint custody and is always telling the daughter what a bum her Father is.
The Dominican is probably the worst of the 3, as she is always playing head games on her husband. The poor guy wants to adopt her daughter, not THEIR daughter, but she won't agree to it. The girl is now 10 or 11, doesn't speak Spanish, has no memory of living in the DR, but her Mother keeps threatening to take the girl and return to the DR where they both can easily disappear. Whenever I spend time with this guy, he farms some of my MIL's ground, I always come away feeling bad for him and feeling thankful that I'm not married to a hot looking latina psychopath.
