i have one in 3006, any handloads i have put through it give 5 shots > or = to one inch. it has one of the slickest actions I have ever delt with in a factory rifle, you can load it through the top with magazine in or load the magazine and insert into rifle. its fairly light as well. can't say enough good things

The normal Sako hunter is a bit cheaper than the finnlight, but if you look around you might find one for that.

As far as a rifle is concerned the Sako 75 & 85's are about a good of a production rifle a guy can own, but they are not cheap.

Keep in mind the scope mounts are going to cost you another 80-120 bucks.

I've heard of some guy's finding them cheap on clearance, especially at this time of year so don't give up yet.

Not to mention if you can find one at Cabelas right now Cabelas has a $100 bucks off any cabelas visa card charge of 500 bucks.
That ends April 26th.

SW had them for $1100 awhile back. They usually are in the $1300-1400 range around here.

Question is did you buy it because the tax will push it over the next $100 mark.

If you buy one and it lasts you thirty plus years how expensive is it really? Assuming that you can afford it...

If in doubt ask your wife if this logic works for her.
