I have the opportunity to buy a nice condition 30A with a 4x Glenfield Scope. What's the price range for these? I have no idea. Thanks, Tom

I was looking at one of them 30A's just the other day at the local gun shop. this one was in very fine shape 30-30 cal. The ticket had $299.00 on it.

This shop has a few 336 and the like on hand most of the time. Most are 30-30 but once in a while there will be a 35Rem in the mix.

I picked up a good condition 30AS bout 2 years ago for $300 scoped. It was a decent deal.

They go for $50 - $100 less than a 336 in this area. I bought 2 recently, one a 1976 model and the other a 1983. I paid $125 for the 1976, and $170 for the 1983. Neither one was what you would call pristine, but with a little work on my part (stock refinishing, and a few new screws), both are very good guns.

There was one in the local pawn shop here in town a few weeks ago and they were asking $259.00. After seeing it, I went home to check the price and when I went back an hour later to purchase it was already gone. I should have bought it when I first saw it.

Here in West Virginy..smile. 30-30's don't sit on the rack very long. Going price for a nice condition rifle is approx $300.00.
I have looked at three 336 in 30-30 cal just today at the same gun store one of 'em was a 30A. $300.00 and you can take it home.
I'am thinking I'm going to get it.

30-30's lever's are very popluar in WV.
