submoa, the brownings are just fine. i owned one and loved it. very accurate and well-made.
for some odd reason people here have taken to browning-bashing when it comes to the a-bolts.
i think you should go check them out and see what you think.

I`m thinking of adding a long range 338 to fall in between the 300 WSM and 375 Ruger I already have,,,,,,,a 338-378 Weatherby Accumark oughta do the trick just peachy.

Those are the 3 rifles I would look at if I was flush with money, it would keep me from spending it.

I wouldn't buy anything new.
Too easy to make a much better rifle IMO, if you look and ASK those here who are in the know.
Better handles do exist....

I have failed to motivate Pvt. SubMoa, because YOU have failed to help ME. From now on, when Pvt. SubMoa fails to mention a McSwirly, I will not punish him. I will punish all of you. And the way I see it Ladies, you owe me for one mention of the Browning.....

It is a synthetic stock, made by McMillan. They are a high quality synthetic, that can be ordered in a blend of custom colors. The colors tend to "swirl" and since the company name is McMillan, the slang name for them around here is "McSwirly".
Take a look at the custom rifle section. I believe there are some photos of them posted there.

Remington's are pretty good too. Might be worth a look. For the money the Vanguards may be hard to beat. Don't settle though if you don't like them. Save to get what you want.
