it is a .300 and it is very accurate, i got a deer at 232yards open sights with it. through the neck

Whatever a 7x57 can do a 270 can do better.

yes, i like shooting deer in the neck. i shot my deer last year in the neck

Neck shots have worked well for me. This guy was a neck shot at 10 yards. Dropped right in his tracke and never even twitched. Not open sights though, needed a Leupold VX-I for that mighty shot.  ![[Linked Image]](http://savagela.org/CalhounsGuns/RorysBuck/DSC00404.JPG)
