I would like to load some 110gr Accubonds using H4350. Neither Nosler nor Hodgdon has loads for this combo but with the powder shortage this is my only option right now. Nosler does show a load for 100 grain bullets using IMR4350 and H4350. It shows a 2.5 grain increase using H rather than IMR for minimums and maximums. In other word, the Nosler guide shows min load for 100gr bullets at 47grs of IMR4350 and 49.5grs of H4350 and a max load of 51grs IMR and 53.5grs of H. The Nosler guide shows a load for 110 gr bullets using IMR4350 but not H4350. So, the question is can I add 2.5 grs to the the IMR load for a H4350 load? If this is not acceptable for some reason, could someone please give me a load for using the 110 Accubonds and H4350. Velocity is important but accuracy is more important to me.

When I'm working up a load for which there is no published data, I'm a bit more cautious than usual. I would probably add 1 to 1.5 grains to the published starting load of IMR 4350 and work up from there.

As for accuracy, many times I've found pretty marked accuracy differences between powders of similar burning rates so while you may not get optimal accuracy with H4350, it will likely be quite usable.

My 25 maxed at 50grs but I'd start around 47 and work up slowly. I didn't have much luck with H4350 and ended up using R22.

ORmtnman: Damn, do not have info for what you are looking for, but will look around and try to get back as I am a .25-06 looney to say the least! I don't know if this is any help, but my load is: 50.5 H4831sc, 120 Horn. HP or 115 Part., Fed cases[I know, I know!], Fed 210 primers, FPS is 2925-2950 over the screens. Accuracy is superb! Also, you might give Nosler a call, they're pretty helpful with loading info. Good luck. Rifletom

Thanks for the information guys. I can not find any R22 and I have been trying to get my hands on some IMR4831 for months to no avail. So for now I must use what I have. The only powders that I have on hand are H380, H4350, IMR3031, and H110. Of these I was thinking that the H4350 would work best in the 25.06? I would certainly be willing to try any of these if any of you have some load data for me to try.

Don't underestimate the the slower powders when running the heavier bullets in the .25-06 either... Retumbo, 7828, Magnum, etc. All will work quite well and IME usually provide better velocity and ES than the 4350 type powders.

my 25-06 will do bug holes with 52 gr H4350 and 100 Nosler Partition. Work up as usual as this is in upper ten% of most manuals.

ORmtnman: I talked to a tech at Nosler, and he said their data uses IMR4350, but you can substitute H4350 in its place using the Accubond 110. Here it is: H4350 Start-45.5 Max-49.5 I recken you can start there and work up. Do you have a chronograph to check your loads with? Anyway, good luck and let us know how it turns out. Rifletom

Rifletom, thanks for this info, I didn't have time to call them today. I was going to start at 48grs and work up to 52 so I guess I better back off a bit.

When all else fails try 53.0-55.0gr of 7828.Great load and fills the case. powdr
