I would have no use for the 17hm2, and the 380. The 7.5x55 and the 30 super, as well as the 480 Ruger and the Linebaugh. Anyway, it looks as if he has some wiggle room. The 17HM2 is about as much fun as you can have to 100 yards with ammo that costs around $5/50. He also laid in a supply of 10K rounds at $3.50/50. The 17HM2, while a bit of a bastich stepchild, shoots with very good precision with a reasonable price. Point and shoot to 100 yard for the most part, you won't see a 22LR do that. The 7.5x55 is for match shooting, the sights cost more than the rifle...who the heck gets rid of what is basically a .308?

I'd ditch the 17 Mach 2 and maybe the 22 Mag. Any TC stuff is gone. Ditch the 270 Roy, 7mm BR, 7.5x55, 284, and 25-06. You could probably pick between the 7mm-08 and 260, while letting the other go as well.

The 17 mach 2 in a good 10/22 is a riot.
Good thing I didn't have one as a kid,or there'd be nothing left.(grin)

The 7BR, in a factory XP, shoots better than about 98% of the factory rifles I've seen...probably going to stay.

I've got one in Fireball and they are nothing short of awesome.

You walked past another mirror and had another uncontrollable outburst I see.
I reckon it as being a concise critique,of that which was reflected.

I can imagine one of those would be pretty wild. Lots of dead little critters for certain.

I've only shot it in the ubiquitous Fajen T-hole Sillywet handle and that was familiar territory and a fluid transition.
It'd be a terror in a Sage Rat seige.

Hint. The .284 is also a former 7mm BR on that platform. Still shoots, takes a little more concentration than it did in the original config. Nice handle on that one. I don't know if I'd want a thumbhole on the .284 as it's a little "twisty" during recoil.

I could very much like a midgripped XP in 284Win.

Definitely. What's the farthest you've rung it out at? I imagine it holds up fairly out to 100?

Make sure to have a better(easier) bolt stop installed if you get the urge to scratch that itch, kind of a bich to unload with a unfired round otherwise!
