Here is a challenging and fun match to shoot. Course record with any gun is 58. High for a 308WIN is 51. Good test for you guys that like to run turrets on your hunting rifle. Most of the top shooters are running a 6.5 of some sort. If you don't know your rifle you're going to be hurting.

That looks like a lot of fun!!!

Wish someone would set something up like that around here. Didn't they do a TV show about the competition?

I don't know if they ever filmed one of the matches or not. If I remember I'll ask the match director at the next one in May. I do know they have had some extremely good shooters show up and shoot.

Why do they "hide" the competitors last name in the match results?

Crp anyone can find out how bad I shoot! grin

Some people just like their privacy I guess. There are a couple of active duty SOF guys that shoot the match fairly often. Nothing wrong with a little bit of professional paranoia.

The names are abbreviated because all scoring is done on paper and then it's left to me to type them in and I'm lazy.

Here are photos from the May match. We had a record turn-out of 33 shooters. I shot on the "silent" squad with three other experienced shooters and one newbie. The weather was fantastic; it didn't even start out cold. Wind conditions were pretty mild (0-3/4 value) for this location.

Here I am dialing for the longest shot of the match, 875 yards (I hit it).

Don't let your rifle fall down - it's a long way. Here J- shoots his AI-AWM chambered in 7mm RM.

Two identical AI-AWM's chambered in 7mm RM. The only difference is the model of suppressor and the scope. We were shooting the same bullet, the 162gr AMAX, though I didn't have enough and had to finish the match with some left over 168 Bergers.

Here is S-'s .260 and RD-'s 7mm WSM.

Zak good to see you post over here. Brian, Brett and I wanted to get down there, but duty calls sometimes. We worked all weekend. Conditions look a heck of a lot better then the last one.
