Awesome stuff you have for sale. I do know that Mark Stratton is about as good as it gets for a gunsmith. He does incredible work!!! I bought his book on gunsmithing. What a great guy he is!!!

This is re-list... You'd be hard pressed to just buy the component parts for $1800, let alone make it into what you see here...

Do you know if the action was heat treated?

The action is a FN Supreme Commercial Mauser action from the late 50's or early 60's. I's sure FN heat treated it during manufacture...

With all due respect, I believe that what is in the photograph is NOT Blackburn bottom metal. It appears that Mr. Stratton added a straddle floorplate to a 1909 Argentine or similar bottom metal.

WTF are you trying to accomplish here? I waited 3 months for delivery of the bottom metal, AND I have the receipt from Blackburn... Anything else I can help you with?

That's beautiful, whoever buys it better show us the finished product!

Kevin, Blackburn has 2 different styles of of trigger guards. One is the Blackburn style which is what you see most of the time. The triggerguard on that one is egg shaped. He also has an Odendorf style which isn't as common but he does make them. They look like the one pictured.

I have held this barreled action and metal work in my hot little hands and will tell you that anything that Shotgunjock (Michael) tells you about this package is the absolute truth. If I didn't have other needs right now, this would be mine. You would think that anyone doubting his word would start the topic with a little privacy. Off the soap box now. Bob
