I bought an Argon 110 literally the night before I left for what was supposed to be a week long bear hunt, that ended quicker than expected. I ran out of room with the Grizzly, literally. I had stuff laying there on the ground and couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get it in the pack. The Grizzly is the smallest cu in pack I have used in a long time, thought I could get away with the slightly less cu in size pack and found out it wouldn't cut it for me. Heres a pic from the bear hunt that happened too early in the season.

Over the summer I picked up a Gregory Denali Pro I'll be giving it a try out this fall.

Dude, you must be packing a lot of stuff to fill that pack. I have an Aether 70 and i can get everything I need in that pack for a 10 day sheep hunt. Where'd you get your Osprey?

AK, winter weight gear takes up a lot more space, than Aug gear. You know what the Brooks can throw at you the first week in May, especially with the weather we have been having the last week or so. Twas a cold son bittch up there for this time of year. Normally highs are near 50 and lows near 25 or so. The highs were in the 30's and I dont know what the lows were. I even hauled the massive Wiggys Superlight along!...grin

Hahaha, you hauled the Wiggy's bag, well at least you didn't get cold! I can certainly see why you needed all that gear beings you were in the Brooks, it doesn't start getting warm there enough for me until July!!

Maybe a Kodiak (7000 Cubic Inches), a NICE 6500 (6500 cubic inches), or a NICE 7500 (7500 cubic inches), or a G7000 would work better for you.
I've done a 10 day sheep hunt with a 6500, close to a Grizzly's 6000 cubic inches..... but my sleeping bag is the size of a cantelope and weighs 1 pound 6 ounces.....
Your Wiggy's bag is 4 pounds, compresses to 11" x 20"..... it's warm for sure!!! That's a pretty serious sleeping bag...

I can compress a Wiggy's Ultralite down to the size of a football using a Thermarest compression sack, not bad for a 3 1/2 lb bag.

NICE 7500? Is this a new pack not yet listed on the MR site?
