Me and two other guys will likely be drawing deer tags for the Keating Unit this year. We've never been there. The harvest rates look good and I doubt we'll have any trouble finding deer. It looks like a good hunt on paper.
Anybody hunted there in the last few years? Any area we should pay more attention to than another?
Any advice or experience would be appreciated.

I haven't hunted there, but isn't that where wolves killed 24 lambs recently? Anyway, have a great trip!
I saw a movie where only the military and the police had guns. It was called Schindler's List.

Yep, that's where the wolves are. The locals have known the wolves were there for the last couple years. The sheep attack just created a situation that ODFW couldn't ignore or deny. Between the wolves and the cougar, the deer feel the pressure.
About half of the Keating unit is on private land, so I'd start scouting early if you draw a tag.
