Just a reminder that there are two gun shows coming up in April. One in Penticton on April 18-19, and in Kamloops on April 25-26.

Warn a guy before you post up pics Brian....Jeezzzzz....
Why pack all that messy meat out of the bush when we can just go to the grocery store where meat is made? Hell,if they sold antlers I would save so much money I could afford to go Dolphin fishing. Maybe even a baby seal safari.

There is also a gun show in Dawson Creek April 4 & 5.
Where did you say we are going? And why are we in this handbasket?

I keep attending these shows but can never find a firearm that is a reasonable deal, find bits and pieces that are worthwhile but nothing of substance. Anyone else planning on attending any of these?

We show only reasonably priced, top quality junk, I mean collectibles, and firearms. Next year, at Kamloops, I hope to have my how-to book on all sorts of gunsmithing techniques on the table. It's more work than I thought it would be! GD

I found out 2 things which have discouraged me from attending shows: -those with tables trade amongst themselves before the show opens to boost price and resell there or they have a customer already lined up for an item, some people are not real presenters and put 1 item on the table and go shopping before everyone else -people do not even rent a table and pay an extra fee to come in early to shop -net effect is everything has been picked over, sort of like all the friends and relatives come to the garage sale the night before and take anything worthwhile -if anyone knows of shows which limit the above I would like to know

Very interesting - when I think about it, it certainly seems at least possible if not probable.

Hey guys, I'm new to the site. I want to come to a gun show and I have been looking for a particular gun. I thought I would try this post in the forum to see if any of you guys know if there would be a Springfield M6 Scout survival rifle at any of these shows on vancouver island. Any leads would be helpful.
Thanks, Jerry

Jerry23; Welcome to the 'Fire from the soggy south Okanagan sir.
I've not been to any of the shows on the Island so I can't begin to guess if you'd run into a Scout there or not.
I can't recall seeing one at the Penticton show in the last few years but that doesn't mean much really. I am given to understand that the Kamloops show is much larger and might be a better place to look for one.
Another avenue might be to look at the equipment exchange sections in both huntingbc and canadiangunnutz forums. While I don't post much on them, I have definitely bought and sold a lot of stuff there - both across the province and the country too.
Hopefully that was some use to you sir. Good luck on your search and on your upcoming hunts as well.
Regards, Dwayne
