They were top-notch when made, and are still fine glass, but don't bring all that much now, even in great shape. They don't have adjustable eye-cups and aren't waterproof, mainly, but they are nice and light and excellent optically. I would guess that $200 would be a top price for excellentc condition.

Thank you, sir. That helps. They are in an estate auction coming up and I wanted to know how high to bid.

Take care

If you don't get these and are looking for 7x35's. I bought a pair of the Simmons Aetec 7x35's and they are absolutely fantastic for $65. Extremely wide fov and they are sharp and reasonably bright. I was very impressed. Probably has a lot to do with being 7x and porro but nice regardless. These make me wonder why I have Leica and Nikon bin's.

I've got a 9X35 that my grandfather bought new in 1958 for $175. Just like MD said, very good glass. Better than the 8X32 Pentax DCF WP I compared it too. Very close, but not quite up to the level of a 10X25 Zeiss from a dead rest. BTW, w/o the dead rest, the 10X25 Zeiss doesn't "look" as good.
Not as good or easy to use as my 8X42 Leica. Well, very little is as good as the 8X42 Leica.
I'd buy a 7X35 Zephyr, if in good shape (lenses not scratched/coatings damaged) in a hot second for $200. E

I bought a pair at my local Goodwill for $13! They were the japanese version in great shape. Gave them to a guy who works for me. They are all that everyone here has stated. I thought they were going on ebay for $125-150 range?
I also bought some Fuji Meibo 8x40's which are very similar and they ride in the pocket on the seat of my car. The optical penalty is some slight reduction in contrast from the single coatings. Great optics. Good luck at the auction, don't pay too much!

A pair went for 51.00 on Ebay this week. I was the under bidder. Don't know where they were built.

There is a 9 X 35 currently on Ebay and they are at $181.00
