Does anyone know how many Winchester model 255 .22 Magnum rifles were produced or where to find serial number info?

Found the answer to the amount produced in R. L. Wilsons "Winchester An American Legend". 55,310 made, serial numbered "together" with the 190 and 200 series guns.
