A NIB Colt Python.

Colt Woodsman Match Target 4". Had a 6" that I bought NIB in 1970. Got bored with it and sold it. Have a 4" Huntsman, but always figured the 4" Match Target would be the "cats whiskers"

A S&W registered .357 magnum, not picky about barrel length, or a really clean .45 Colt SAA, even a 2nd generation.

Now for me knowing what I know about the .357mag in a COLT Python, I will once again take one of these with 6 inch barrel.

I've got simple taste in handguns. So a Ruger Blackhawk 3-screw 4 5/8" in 45 Colt will do. Since I sold my original one in 1973 I've been looking for another one and just found it. I'm happy now.

i'm in iraklion's camp all the way.

i want a python. have shot 'em and drooled over 'em. never owned one, or i still would. sad they were never made in stainless.

.38/.357 is a superb combo, and an accurate package to boot.

Tommygs,Colt pythons were made in stainless,and I believe I saw a couple or more on Guns America for sale the other day.Buy one of 'em.

The Holy Grail for me was a S&W Pre-16 K-32 Masterpiece. I got this one a Couple of Years ago and ones that are Pre-Models with the Narrow Barrel rib are Scarse as they came out with the wider rib barrels in 1950.I also recently came across the Pre-27 shown. I would really Like to land a Registered magnum that grandfather to this one, but for now this one that shipped in 1954 will have to do.. Thegeneral.






K-32 shown with a Rare Original set of Walter Roper Custom shooting Grips, also shown in it's Box with Black oxide Knurled sight adjuster and Original Magna diamond grips this one shipped in 1951. They Made a Little over 3000 of these Post-War K-32's and dropped the model due to Low sales or Buyer appeal. They are now one of the Hardest Models to find, and Heavily sought after by Collectors.










This Pre-27 is shown with Period correct Coke Profile Target grips. This one shipped in 1954. I passed on many Blued worn examples, Holding out for the Hard to find Nickel one shown. There was Only about 6000 of these Pre-27's Made from 1935-1957 and I have Often wondered how many have survived the test of time and abuse ?

General,that Mod.27 is what I like!Nickel or blue,one thats in just decent condition even.I walked off from a really nice blued 4" 27 in it's original box about 25years ago at a pawn shop.Pawnshop wanted $225,I only had $180.I went back a few days later with the $225....Well,you know the rest of the story.Meant to say "PRE" MODEL 27 by the way.

I appreciate your Kind words.The Model 27's and Pre-27's are in my eyes the most elegant revolver S&W ever made. It was a sad Day, when they Halted production of them. I do not consider the new Classic Offerings even close to what the Originals were in fit, finish or quality, Not to mention the Newer MIM Parts or The Hillary hole, I have no Burning desire to add any of them to my collection. The Original Registered Magnum was the Brian Child of Colonel Douglas Wesson the Grand Son to D. B. Wesson. When it was released, it was a Gamble as Hard times were Upon The U.S.A. and the Registered Magnum was considered a Custom order hand gun. With the Introduction of the New Powerful .357 Magnum Caliber, it took No time at all, before the Hungry Buying Public took to The pre-27's and Just three short years after it's introduction they dropped the Registration process due to High Consumer demand. I surely would Love to add a Registered magnum and a non-Registered magnum to my collection, But Fear that would take a re-Mortgage of my Home to do so...One of the Only Other Guns in my collection that comes close to the Quality of the Pre-27's would be my 1936 K-22 First Issue Outdoorsman. D.B. Wesson designed it for The Hunter and Woods walker, and he sure Hit a Home Run with That Idea as they Never have stopped making the K-22's since 1931 even though the new ones are made of stainless and called the 617, They are a Top seller for The Company, and even I was suckered into Buying one. thegeneral

tom the top is a ss python 6".colt called them bright stainless.
the bottom blue gun is a 6" diamond back 22 LR (very rare).


the one I searched for years was the 357 ruger redhawk.I found one last month NIB .

Another one I've "lusted" for is a 3" Colt Python. Had a 6" and will "settle" for a 4" someday.

it would make a good down payment .really I could never replace it or the diamond back.I was told they only made 2200 of those 6 inch 22's.
I still have my first python a 6 inch blue.I paid $400.00 for it which back then was big bucks for a SSG.it has only had 148 gr wc's and 3.0 grs bullseye my target load.
