good luck at the range Stan.
Ever looked into a good air rifle like the GAMO ones I see advertised in magazines & on hunting shows?

Those are cool. I like the one with the silencer and laser sight...The one for "varmit hunting" purposes.

I have considered a pellet rifle.A customer in the shop the other day told me of shooting small rifle primers in a pellet gun.Shoot them at a hard surface and they go off with a bang and a flash.I told a friend and he tried it and said it works great. M1894,a friend of mine has one of those squirrel proof feeders. They work great, just kinda pricey at $55.95. Grizzly Bill,I am shooting some RWS CB caps but I have had some of the BB caps in years past.My uncle and I used to shoot them in his basement in a .22 pistol and it was fun. Rain here this morning so normal Wednesday range trip is either delayed till the sun comes out or cancelled. Watched "Deadliest Catch" last night.I have been hooked on that show for a couple of years now. There's no amount of money that could entice me to that profession. My lily white butt means too much to me. Oh,I'm thru playing with the 9MM HiPoint carbine.Anybody wanna buy it?It's fun and accurate but not really my cup 'o tea.

I've been less than impressed with the pellet rifles on rabbits and such, but I'm runnig a cheap gamo and a cheaper chinese no brand with a seriously crappy trigger. To my ear, CB shorts aren't any louder, and seem to knock down better. But I have a park in my back yard with a slough in the middle of it, so I make sure no one is in the park, and shoot out of a second story window. If I had less space, I suppose I'd be relegated to the pellet guns.
Happy birthday Tzone.

Uh, maybe you meant Stan needs a blow up doll?

I have a blow gun. Haven't played with it in years but I used to be pretty darn accurate with it. It's pretty much like shooting a bow instinctive. With practice, you get to the point of where your looking is where the arrow/dart is going to go. Shot a couple of striped gophers with it but no rabbits or squirrels. hmmmmmmmm

I could use that thing around here. We have a monster truck rally going on in the house right now. Mini-man had his berfday yesterday and got a pair of monster trucks. and a remote control boat from dad. We're going to hook a fishing line up to that sucker and troll up a fish next weekend on our vacation. we are going up to the Chippewa Flowage for a week of goofing off. My luck we'll hook a muskie and I'll be looking for a new boat for the boy.

Phil,
I have one of those feeders also. Only one squirrel has figured it out so far. I can tell when he comes across the lawn because the neighbor's cats take off running. Biggest darn squirrel I've ever seen. It must be all the striped sunflower seeds he eats every day!
Anyway, chasing the cats and entertaining us by hanging upside down and fishing the seeds out without tripping the bar is worth the cost of the seed.

I'm one year closer to being a grown up today.
and my middle child "Runs With Scissors" turns 12 today!! Wooot!
Big one two! lotta cool things happen when you turn 12, it's your last year before entering your teens, you get your hunter safety card, you're old enough to hunt pretty much anything anyplace in the states I think... it's a big deal!!

Damn right it's a big deal. I couldn't wait until I was 12. For the very reasons you listed. Is going to be in 7th grade? He gets to learn the other cool stuff of being 12...like playing doctor with the girlies. I hope mama ain't readin' over your shoulder.
