anyone will work.. you don't need a premium in a 338/06....
225 grainers are a good balance..I prefer the Hornady over the Speer this time...
I am also fond of the 200 grain hornady and the 180 and 200 grain ballistic tips..
one capable load I love to hunt with is 35 grains of SR 4759 and a 200 grain Hornady FN or SP...duplicates the old 33 Winchester.. with an MV of 2400 fps..for 200 yds at woods ranges, it is perfect and effective....

I shoot 225 Interlocs in mine. The moose finished his step. A 338-06 doesn't push a 225 fast enough to need a premium. I also hear 210Partion is a bit softer than the 225,making it a fine choice for the 338-06. A flat base gives a bit more powder room. Did you read my post above about Sierras on the Graf's site? I wish I had an extra hundred bucks around to buy 10 boxes of those and stock up... $24/100 is like 1/2 the cost of many others! I'm looking forward to seeing what the 215 GKs do. That seems like a great elk bullet and has the BC to "reach out and touch someone".

No,I missed it. My hunting partner loaded up a couple hundred 225 Interloc for deer bullets in his 338WM,then changed his mind to 180 Accubonds and pulled them. For my rifle ,they shoot as well as the new ones. After all that load development I did, I don't play with this rifle much,so I'm set for life.

TB, I have settled on the 210 TSX/TTSX for my 338-06. Although I have also had good results up to the 250 A-Frame for brown bear.

I'm getting great accuracy with the 210 Scirocco. This should be a great all around bullet in the 338-06. Hoping to whack a few critters this year.

Thanks all who have replied. I think I am going to run 200 SST's for the light stuff and move to the more rugged 210 TTSX for moose and bear. Thanks for all the input!!

Sounds like a good plan!
Or you could save the SST's for paper punching and use the 210 TTSXs on anything that walks!
You need to call it. I can't call it for you.
