Saw on ABC news last night that Kodak is discontinuing the manufacture of Kodachrome. I started way back in 1965 with my first Canon camera shooting Kodachrome. At that time there wasn't another film that reproduced red or blue like it did. There wasn't anothet color film that had as fine a grain as it either. I always said that when I found a digital that was as sharp as Kodachrome 64 I'd put away my film cameras. I guess I wasn't the only photographer that thought that way.

Kodak has been slowly extricating itself from the film biz for years. There's little money in selling film these days.

I was never a big fan of Kodak's lineup -- I always liked Fuji's color better (and I've always had better results with Fuji's Neopan-Acros BW too).

Paul Simon seems to disagree with me though.... wink
